My name is Keith Grant Pemberton II, and I live in High Point, North Carolina. Currently, I am a senior at Forsyth Country Day School where I have obtained a 4.30 GPA and have been deeply involved in an array of extra- curricular opportunities. From serving as Student Body President, Chairman of the Student Diversity Leadership Council, and Co- Founder of the Black Student Union, I have honed my leadership abilities and discovered a passion for fighting against inequity. In my community, I have been a part of the High Point Youth Council NAACP, Cheri Beasley’s Campaign for US Senate, and NC Youth Legislative Assembly to name a few. My interest in fighting for equity was reimagined this summer when I was selected to serve as a Youth Ambassador to Rabat, Morocco with the National Security Language Initiative for Youth. Over the course of my high school career, I have developed a passion for servant- leadership; a passion I hope to foster during my collegiate experience. Upon graduation, I hope to attend Yale University majoring in Political Science or Global Affairs. My goal is to become a human rights attorney and U.S. Diplomat. I also see public service in my future and hope to give back to the community that has molded me into the young man I am today.
